Enviro Sci: Exploring Alternative Energy Sources
For Thursday, April 23rd.
You and your partner/s (no more than 3!) will be selecting and researching one type of alternative energy sources. If there is something that you would like to research that is not on the list, please talk to Mr. Heli. If he agrees that it's appropriate, you may procede. Please use this link to find useful information. You may use other sources, but they must be from a reputable site (government, educational, and NOT WIKI!).

Now that we have a basic understanding of what GMOs are, today we'll examine how this happens:
In groups of 3-4 students, use the following worksheet and links to research more about genetic engineering.
Worksheet
What is genetic engineering?
Transgenic Crops
Overview of Genetic Engineering
Bio Engineering
After you complete your research, in your teams, produce a poster, concept map, or other creative presentation to explain how genetic engineering is done. Some groups might choose to write a song, do a small skit, or act out the process. Each team should plan to display and explain their creative presentation by 9:10 today.
